And as CNN reports, that wasn’t the only act of kindness caught on camera.

It is said that no man is an island, and in times of difficulties if people stand by each other, the ride becomes easier.
“I want to give y’all some coffee and some pastries, man”, Jermaine says in the 33-second clip.
The video has had more than 93,000 shares since it was posted on KnightNews.com’s Facebook page yesterday.
That’s when Jermaine, an employee at a local New York City Starbucks became an instant friend to the police officers who were working the site of this weekend’s bombing in Chelsea.
It was the second night of suspected terrorism in the NY area, after a bomb exploded in Chelsea hurting 29 people and a second device was found and defused on Saturday night.
The police officers thanked Germaine and shook his hand.
“I wish I could give a little more”, Zolkos can be heard saying to the officers on the video.
“What a true New Yorker – you knock us down and we stand taller”, reads one comment.
“I just thought it was the right thing to do”, he said. “I just wanted to thank y’all”.

As it happens over and over again whenever we are confronted with tragedy or terror, small acts of kindness by everyday people offer up a sort of karmic balance in our world. “So many people are telling me I did something really special”.
