India calls Pakistan ‘terrorist state’ at United Nations debate
“The attack in Uri only underlines the fact that the infrastructure of terrorism in Pakistan remains active”.

Stating that the present government has also done little to correct the imbalance in defence capabilities, Sahni said: “Unless capacities are enormously augmented, our strategic options will remain severely restricted”.
Stressing that internal peace and stability are a requisite for economic development, Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan, despite being a victim to global terrorism, will not allow externally sponsored terrorism and threats of destabilization to cause turbulence. China also voiced concerns over the rising tensions in Kashmir after Uri attack and sought “effective” measures from New Delhi and Islamabad to ensure the safety of foreigners, including the Chinese, working on the Dollars 46 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
“It should be well thought out and should not appear to be a knee-jerk reaction”, Shukla, author of the book “Deadly Connection” that deals with Pakistan’s relations with the USA post-9/11, said. According to a senior intelligence office JeM has opened new offices and training centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Balakot town in Pakistan and is reviving its offices and network in the Kohat and Hazara regions. “Therefore, by calling him a people’s leader, Pakistan has insulted the Indian Army”, Raut told ANI. And it can not happen through talks only.
Though not unexpected yet in a belated move, the Modi government, under great domestic pressure, launched its “diplomatic war” against Pakistan by summoning Pakistan’s High Commissioner Abdul Basit to the Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday to express “concern” as well as offering cooperation to Pakistan to mutually investigate the Uri attack, while expecting a “response” from Islamabad. It should now end all its relations with them. Over to the podium later Wednesday, the Pakistan prime minister is readying for a showdown with India over the Kashmir issue at the United Nations general assembly. “Let us be clear: talks are no favor to Pakistan”.
The prime minister said that a new generation of Kashmiris has risen spontaneously against India’s illegal occupation – demanding freedom from occupation- and he used the term “Kashmiri Intifada” for the ongoing episode of the indigenous struggle of the people of Occupied Valley. “The Security Council must honour its commitments by implementing its own decisions”, he said. Citing sources, it said that although Pakistan would not initiate an attack, it would respond with full force in case of any strike by India.
