The Clinton campaign will begin airing a new ad Friday that intercuts Trump insulting women with shots of young girls looking in the mirror. “Well they say she’s been practicing for the debate”.

That’s according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll that finds that more than half the country fears a Trump presidency. The margin of error for likely voters was 3.5 percentage points in either direction. She also narrowly tops Trump when it comes to filling Supreme Court vacancies, as well as another of the billionaire’s signature issues: handling global trade.
Even in a national NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released this week that showed Mrs. Clinton leading Mr. Trump by 7 points head-to-head, 41 percent said Mr. Trump would be better at being honest and straightforward, compared to 31 percent who chose Mrs. Clinton. Last week, Trump also released some of his medical information on the “Dr. Oz” television program. This is not to say that Trump won’t be on treacherous terrain.
But Trump just needs to seem plausible and the very fact that he is on a presidential debate stage, the most rarified forum in American politics, will benefit him.The fact is that Trump will have to stumble badly – and probably sabotage himself – to live down to Hillary’s critique of him. She’s also challenged his business success and suggested he isn’t releasing his taxes to the public because he’s not as wealthy as he contends. Perhaps Trump’s biggest obstacle to winning this race, as Rich rehearses in his piece, is the data showing that strong majorities of Americans routinely tell pollsters that the GOP nominee lacks the qualifications and temperament to be President of the United States.

And, talking about Kim Kardashian, he says: “Does she have a good body, no?” The ad raises the question: “Is this the president we want for our daughters?”

His Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, was behind closed doors as she prepared for their initial debate and did not address on Thursday the escalating racial tensions in Charlotte, North Carolina. On Thursday, the Trump campaign accepted the resignation of an OH volunteer, Mahoning County chair Kathy Miller, who told the Guardian newspaper, “I don’t think there was any racism until Obama got elected”.
