Watch The Simpsons’ Crazy Adventure Time Crossover Couch Gag
The Sept. 25 premiere’s couch gag features Marge, Lisa and Maggie on the couch on top of a mountain, with Bart and Homer still trying to make the climb.

The show Time Magazine referred to as the “Best Show of the 20th Century”, The Simpsons returns for its unprecedented 28 season with “Monty Burns’ Fleeing Circus”. Oh…and of course Mr. Burns is the Ice King.
Hearing or watching the Adventure Time opening is one of those things that’ll pretty much always fill me with happiness without fail.
The list of memorable “Simpsons” couch gags includes Disney movies, the Game of Life, Letterman and “Breaking Bad”. Who else could he be?
“We learn something that might have made him the man he is”, Simpsons executive producer Al Jean tells EW.
An homage to Adventure Time, the 45-second gag turns the residents of Springfield into characters from the hit Cartoon Network series. Naturally, this opening has nothing to do with the rest of the episode, which finds comedian Amy Schumer taking over the role of Mr. Burns’ mom as his backstory is expanded (or alternately, completely ignored for the sake of this episode) to explain what turned him into such a bitter and terrible man.

Sunday is the day for fans of snarky, irreverent and non-PC animated fare as new seasons get underway for Fox series stalwarts The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers, alongside the series premiere of the new “fish out of water then impaled on pike” Phil Lord and Chris Miller hybrid live-action / animation series Son of Zorn.
