Sunderland could feel the heat against Crystal Palace, says Alan Pardew

Crystal Palace travel to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday priced as bet365’s 11/8 favourites to maintain their recent up-turn in Premier League form by taking all three points back to the capital.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has backed close-season signing Andros Townsend to earn a recall to the England team following a string of impressive displays for the Eagles.

Moyes has come under increasing pressure following a hard start to his tenure, which has seen Sunderland pick up just one point from their opening five league matches.

“I think Sunderland are a side trying to find that first win”.

With Jermain Defoe injured and free-transfer signing Victor Anichebe still finding fitness, Moyes played 17-year-old Swede Joel Asoro up front in Wednesday’s EFL Cup win at QPR, where Paddy McNair was their two-goal hero.

“We’ve felt much better since winning midweek but we also did a lot of good things in the Tottenham game; we had chances and we held them out for a long time so there were positives to take, and in midweek I thought we played quite well and deserved to win the game”.

“Scott Dann has a slight hamstring strain”.

Defender James Tomkins, who limped off in the 4-1 win over Stoke City last week, is fit for Saturday’s game but Scott Dann could miss the next two matches. Definitely will miss this game, possibly Everton as well.

“Black Cats” in a crisis, and therefore Crystal Palace scored a ideal move in recent meetings, there is a great opportunity to score points in the championship game 4 in a row, and at least not lose in the upcoming game.
