Haters: Colin Kaepernick Voted the NFL’s Most Disliked Player in Poll
49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Miami Dolphins safety Michael Thomas stated recently they’ve gotten death threats due to their Anthem protest and according to a recent poll, almost half of National Football League fans would stop watching National Football League games because of these protests.

“Granted, it’s not how I want it to happen, but that’s the realization of what could happen”. What’s going on is not right, so I think he’s setting light on a situation that is heinous and shouldn’t happen in this country.
Kelly: “I don’t think Colin takes over any room”. Kaepernick’s decision to kneel instead of stand during the national anthem drew national attention in August, and since that time players around the country have joined his protest in solidarity.
Kaepernick also pointed to recent events like the death of Terence Crutcher as evidence of why he is protesting in the first place. The poll showed that 42 percent of African-Americans like Kaepernick “a lot”. I think specifically about after the Rams win, when you beat the Rams, and he was talking about injustice in America and I believe some of the players were uncomfortable with that. According to the athlete, these threats reflect that if something happens to him, then it would prove his point about the racial injustice and violence that’s now plaguing the country. He then approaches the driver’s side of his vehicle, where an officer shocks him with a stun gun and another fatally shoots him.
“They don’t like to address the issue that is people of color being oppressed and treated unjustly”, he continued.
It has not received universal support, however, and he said he was the target of racial slurs and other insults before last Sunday’s game at Carolina.
“There’s a lot of racism disguised as patriotism in this country”, Kaepernick said, as reported by the Sacramento Bee.

Kaepernick has pledged to give $1 million to different organizations, and told reporters on Tuesday he will give $100,000 per month for 10 months and a website will track which organizations his donations go to.
