Quarterback Brian Hoyer is preparing as if he’s the starter at quarterback in place of the injured Jay Cutler as the Chicago Bears get set to play in Dallas on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Cutler injured his thumb in the season opener against the Houston Texans and said he aggravated it early in Monday’s game and had trouble gripping the football.
They Bears are 0-2 after losing to the Eagles Monday 29-14.
Defensive tackle Eddie Goldman (ankle) and safety Chris Prosinski (calf) also missed Wednesday’s practice. The Bears were awaiting the results of an MRI on linebacker Lamarr Houston, who suffered a left knee injury that Fox said “appears to be significant”.

A few things jump out here; Wentz was a flawless 8-for-8 against the blitz in the season opener against the Browns and for Scott to suggest that any college team could beat even the lowly Cleveland Browns is laughable. And while both of those teams are certainly among the worst in the league, Wentz has thrown for 468 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs in his first two games becoming the first ever QB to win his first two starts without his team committing any turnovers. “At one point, we were 2-5 and we made the playoffs”.
