Hillary Clinton holds her own against Zach Galifianakis

The Democratic presidential nominee on Thursday joined “Hangover” actor and comedian Zach Galifianakis on the amusing or Die series “Between Two Ferns”.

Clinton, lips clamped into a tight smile, nodded her head as if to say move on.

“Like himself, weak?” he asked on his show, which is meant to mock celebrity interviews and is published by the comedy website amusing or Die.

Galifianakis did ask Clinton one serious question, about her priorities if elected.

Clinton comes off well in the clip as she mainly does deadpan reactions and stares Zach down as he asks her things like if she is excited to be the first “girl president”, and what her typing and coffee skills were like as Secretary of State.

The comedian deadpanned what would happen if Mrs. Clinton became pregnant in office. Galifianakis relies on a type of humor that is often cringe-inducing, and it’s clear from Clinton’s demeanor that she understood that going into the interview.

“I really regret doing this”, Clinton deadpanned at one point during the tongue-and-cheek interview.

When asked if she wondered what Trump might be wearing to the forthcoming debates, Clinton theorized that he might don his “red power tie” for the proceedings. “That’s pretty special”, she says. All of her terrifying side-eye was completely unscripted, as were most of her comments.

“Between Two Ferns” is ludicrous on its face, and is meant to be.

When asked about what she would do if Trump becomes president she said she would stay in America and try to keep him from destroying the country without taking up arms which set Galianfinakis up for a joke about how she would take away everyone’s guns, which has been a big concern for republicans.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was the first guest on the web series since October 2014. Or in the case of Obama, the White House reached out, and you never quite know if the person knows that their people are reaching out about it.
