Harry Kane Could Miss Up to Two Months with Ankle Injury

Son has been Tottenham’s stand-out player in their last two Premier League games, scoring twice against Stoke City before being named Man of the March in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday (18 September).

Kane, 23, was seen leaving White Hart Lane on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his right foot, with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino admitting his forward may have suffered ligament damage. The only question is how long that run will be.

According to the Daily Mail, the results of said scans have not been what people were hoping for. “That’s why we waited for him”. And we have some talented players.

The France goalkeeper said: “When one player is missing, it gives an opportunity to another player to bring his skills, his energy, his qualities and his strength”. This is the story of the season and that’s why we need all the players committed to the club.

“We have a lot of worldwide players”. Janssen is a good profile for us.

But Pochettino played down the severity of their problems. “But I think after what he has been doing, especially against Stoke the other week, and now he is showing that he deserves to play in that team”. “It’s the same case for every team in Europe”.

Asked if the layoff could prove a positive for Kane – who has spent the last two summers on global duty with England and started every league game since November 2014 – Pochettino said: “We need to be positive”.

“We were in the game but we also have to be truthful – it was tough”, Moyes said.

“It’s a big loss for us but that happens in football sometimes”.

“You know [what the manager said] is only the truth”. That will likely have to come without Kane too, with upcoming away games against CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco by 22nd November.

“Maybe we should have seen this game off sooner”.

“He is in a very good mood”.

He added: “He’s a very nice guy but he is very competitive and strong and he likes to work very hard”.

Son Heung-min proved to be one of Tottenham’s most instrumental players throughout the 90 minutes and the South Korean was unlucky not to top his performance with a goal when his shot from outside the box just clipped the post.
