Fans of the legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi no longer have to feel shot through the heart over the cancellation of his open-air concert in Stanley Park.

Jon Bon Jovi opened The Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ in 2011, offering meals in exchange for donations or volunteer work. Bon Jovi Management said in a statement that the promoter’s failure to do proper diligence in producing the show, including providing staging material and paying crew members, lead to the show being scrapped.
The multiple award-winning band and the Kings of Suburbia were to play this Saturday.
“As such, they have not met their contractual obligations”, the statement said.
Paper Rain said that ticket sales were slow, according to the Vancouver Sunday.
Paper Rain Performances says it still hopes a future date can be confirmed.
Organizers had said that $100,000 from the proceeds would be donated to charity, supporting child and adult education in Ethiopia. “Paper Rain had no part in the cancellation and we remain in disagreement with that action”. The weekend event would have come on the heels of the release of Bon Jovi’s forthcoming studio album Burning Bridges, which will hit shelves via Island Records/UMG/Mercury on August. 21.
No additional tickets will be sold for the Rogers Arena show. “The artist’s management team flatly and repeatedly refused to allow a postponement and instead they insisted that the concert be cancelled”.
“Through it all, it has been Jon’s main concern that he find a way to make good on the promoter’s failed attempt to put on the show”.

“Jon honors all commitments and we wanted to make sure everybody there is taken care of”, said Paul Korzilius of Bon Jovi Management to the Asbury Park Press.
