‘South Park’ takes aim at Colin Kaepernick supporters
Colin Kaepernick and the Seattle Seahawks are division rivals, but the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback might have found allies in his ongoing attempt to increase awareness by kneeling during the national anthem.

Clearly, Kaepernick’s protest came during the dead of the National Basketball Association offseason, but given the recent history of protest by National Basketball Association players, Oladipo’s prediction doesn’t appear to be far-fetched. He later said that he fully meant to continue his silent protest during the regular season. At the end of the day you just control what you can control, so your opinion is your opinion.
One player who won’t be taking the “Colin Kaepernick” method to evoke social change is Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Last week, model-actress Kate Upton called it “horrific” that players would choose to protest the National Anthem on September 11, when most Americans were remembering the lives lost in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.
On Tuesday, Curry said during a Q&A session at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco that he’ll most likely stand for anthem this upcoming season, according to Mercury News.
“I think he cares about some real, legitimate issues that have to be talked about”, said the president during a news conference. Players on other teams, like the Kansas City Chiefs and L.A. Rams, held up fists while standing during the anthem.

The Denver Post reports that Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall has seen not one but two of his endorsement deals terminated in the wake of his decision to kneel during the performing of the national anthem. In March 1996, the National Basketball Association suspended Abdul-Rauf for one game, but he quickly worked out a compromise in which he would stand but could close his eyes and look down during the song. “I think it’s lack of respect and appreciation of our country”.
