Given the demise of former Cleveland head coaches partially due to the issues at quarterback, it is hard not to get a little nervous for Jackson, and second guess whether this rebuilding process is actually going to get done with him at the helm.

For the Cleveland Browns, it’s been quite a carousel of quarterbacks since their return since 1999, but especially over the last few weeks of the regular season. Like I said, pretty soon maybe I’ll be playing. The 37-year-old McCown was filling in for starter Robert Griffin III, who broke a bone in his left shoulder in the opener. Being able to protect the ball whenever we play other teams in the future, that can come back to bite us in the butt as San Francisco scored off of that. The way the Browns’ offensive line has been playing, the prospect of Cleveland having to start a fourth quarterback isn’t insane.

McCown suffered a left shoulder injury in the first quarter against the Ravens but continued to play. Afterward, he became emotional when he talked about wanting to stay on the field with his teammates.
Four incomplete passes wrapped around just one run that went for 15 yards before punting is perplexing. “He will fight to the bitter end”. McCown has a deep shoulder sprain and will miss at least this week and perhaps more games. “It’s great to play with a guy like that”, Smith said.
“I think it is too early to make that decision”. No, I understand what you are saying, but something is going to come from it, something good or something bad. Still, his plan was to be ready for next Sunday.
If there are doubters, so be it. “I like him down there and also for the adjustments and things like that”. “I’ve been like that my whole life”.
