Antonio Conte wants time to improve Chelsea

“I prefer just to not comment”. I’m not in a destructive mode, never.

Antonio Conte will be the 12th Chelsea manager Wenger has faced and he is adamant that Arsenal are now in a position where they can compete.

“Look I haven’t read the book and if I saw it I will not read it so I can not comment on that”, Wenger said at a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s clash between Chelsea and Arsenal at the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he could have landed the services of Diego Costa, had the striker not made the surprise decision to leave Atletico Madrid. For this reason, I think Wenger is doing a good job with the young players.

The London clubs renew their rivalry on Saturday with Arsenal looking for a first Premier League win over the Blues since October 2011.

“I haven’t read the book and I certainly will not read it”.

Wenger was praised for his side’s disciplined display at the Etihad Stadium, with some comparing the performance to that of Mourinho’s side a year earlier. The Gunners did beat Chelsea in last season’s Community Shield but that is their only success in 11 games over them in all competitions. I think you want the full commitment of every single player.

Conte has only just arrived at Stamford Bridge but said that he would love the chance to stay there for 20 years, if both sides are happy with each other.

“Sometimes if you judge only for the wins, you make a big mistake and you pay for this in the future”.

However, the game is remembered more for the angry shoving match that took place on the touchline between the two managers.

“It is an important game for us because we feel we are on the way up and Chelsea is a good test and a good opportunity for us to continue our progress”, Wenger explained. “We must go there to impose ourselves and try and play good football to get a good result”.

“This is a special game for Cesc, but the most important thing is that he’s Chelsea’s player and he’s playing very well”. “I believe that everybody at the moment deserves to start the game and be in the squad, so I will decide that today”.
