‘First Look’ focuses on Rome and its expansion techniques
Trajen’s Column leader ability allows cities to start with one free building in the center.

Both the entire Rome civ and Trajan himself carry special abilities, as is the case with all “Civilization 6” civs and leaders.
No major surprise that the Civilization VI special unit for Rome is the Legion. Incidentally though, “Civilization 6” might have overlooked the fact that the generic aqueducts were also actually invented by the Romans. Basically, players will have an edge when building new cities as these come with a free building. This ability endows one free building upon the construction of newly-built cities. If these are in range of a trade route, then the cities will save builder time and effort by automatically connecting to them. An ongoing loop of extra gold will be earned as you branch your cities out around your capital. This seemingly teases the fans of the “Civilization 6” as every new reveal brings up excitement, especially when the distinguished and well-known Trajan will be heading the Rome civ. This unit will be replacing Rome’s Swordsmen. An added bonus is that the Legion may be used as military engineers with the ability to build forts and roads but only for a limited number of times. Legions give Trajan an advantage over the competition because forts can not be constructed as early as his Legions.
Trajan yielded military prowess in wars with Dacia, who had threatened Rome’s economy for many years. The special ability for the faction in-game is All Roads Lead to Rome, starting all of their cities with a trading post, and new cities within the trade route radius of it’s capital start with a road leading to them. If any civilizations get upset at the early and rapid expansion, the Legions will be able to defend your territory with the early forts they can construct.

We’ve seen various leaders and personalities throughout the Civilization VI introductory series. From what the creators are releasing about the different empires, they will play in a unique way, nearly like a class based system. “Civilization 6” release date is slated this October 21, 2016.
