Fourth night of protest follows Charlotte police shooting
A video released to NBC News shows the moment when police in Charlotte, North Carolina, shot Keith Scott. In the video, Rakeyia Scott tells police he does not have a gun as police are telling her husband to “drop the gun”.

Scott’s family has seen the police video and said in a statement it was “impossible to discern” what Scott was holding in his hands. “He has no weapon”.
In the video, obtained by NBC, cops repeatedly command him to “drop the gun” as the 43-year-old father of seven got out of his auto Tuesday afternoon. He just took his medicine, ‘ she says.
Scott’s wife then tells her husband not to let police break the windows of the pickup truck, and begs him to “come on out the auto”.
The footage released by the family did not show the moment when a black police officer shot Scott.
Clinton is calling on the city of Charlotte to publicly release the police video from the Scott shooting.
The shooting is not shown in the video, but the gunshot can be heard and Mr Scott can be seeing lying on the ground. Protesters have sought the release of police footage of the shooting earlier this week of Keith Lamont Scott by a police officer.
Scott’s family and police have given vastly different accounts of the incident.
“I do believe the video should be released”, Roberts, a Democrat, told The Associated Press on Friday. Putney said Friday that releasing the footage of Scott’s death could inflame the situation.
Scott’s family has repeatedly asserted that Scott was unarmed and reading a book in his vehicle while waiting for his son to come home from school before he was shot.
The sound of several shots being fired follows her plea.
The Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign initially said she would travel Sunday to Charlotte, where protests have broken out after the police shooting.
Demonstrations were peaceful Thursday night, leading Mayor Jennifer Roberts to suspend a midnight curfew that ended at 6 a.m. Friday.
A state of emergency has been declared in North Carolina following days of unending protests against police brutality. I know that much.

Putney said that Friday’s news conference would be his last concerning the shooting because he can not release more information now that his department is no longer leading the investigation. A suspect, Rayquan Borum, 21, was arrested in that case on Friday and charged with murder.
