Brad Pitt is under investigation for child abuse, TMZ reports.

Cotillard, who stars in the upcoming film Allied with Pitt, was the subject of rumors that she was the reason Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on Monday.
TMZ state that the couple “were on a flight last Wednesday when he allegedly got wasted on the private jet”.
Fuel was added to the fire when, on early Thursday, TMZ reported Pitt has been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department and L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services for allegedly “getting verbally abusive and physical with his children, and that’s what triggered the divorce”.

The incident on the plane is said to have led Jolie to file for divorce just days later. A source has claimed that the incident took place with one of his kids with Angelina Jolie. She listed their separation date as September 15, the day after the alleged plane incident, and the actress is seeking sole custody of all six of the children.
“Angelina is keeping Nicole Kidman company and Brad Pitt is with his several time co-star Morgan Freeman”. She does not want Pitt to have joint physical custody, only joint legal custody – the difference being only one parent has both physical and legal custody of the child: in this case, Jolie.

Jolie’s attorney, Robert Offer, released the following statement to CNN when the news broke: “This decision was made for the health of the family”.
Pitt and Jolie famously met in 2003 on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and began publicly dating a few years later. The couple married on August 14, 2014 after a 12-year relationship.
The glamourous now-former couple have six children, are ages 15 to 8; three of them famously adopted by Jolie from Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia.
This is the second marriage for Pitt, 52, who previously Wednesday Jennifer Aniston.

Sources close to the star told the site the actor did not commit any abuse and is taking the matter “very seriously”.
