Philippines President Duterte in foul-mouthed rant at EU
But Malacañang’s nod was unlikely since Mr. Duterte has been cussing at worldwide leaders and organizations that criticize his war on drugs, that has left over 3,000 suspects dead, both from police encounters and killings by unknown vigilantes.

They say actions speak louder than words and it’s pretty hard to misinterpret what Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is trying to convey here.
Human Rights Watch has called for the Philippine government to convene an independent investigation involving the United Nations into allegations of direct involvement by President Duterte in extrajudicial killings.
“When I read the European Union condemnation, I’m telling them, f*** you”.
“EU? Fuck you. You pretended to be imbued with humanity, now there are many people who are dying in the high seas”, Duterte said.
Duterte’s remarks have also been translated as calling Ban “that fool”.
“I read the condemnation of the European Union against me”.
Duterte declared a state of national emergency across the Philippines after a bomb struck a night market in Davao City on Sept 2, killing 15 people and injuring 67 others. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article. Britain, France has the gall to condemn me.
The 71-year-old also swore repeatedly during the outburst, and raised his middle finger in a gesture of defiance.
In early September, he said plenty would be killed “until the last pusher is out of the streets”. Duterte said Monday he wants permission for an extension of that war, and lamented that he “cannot kill them all”.
This is not the first time Duterte has engaged in deploying expletives to convey his true feelings.
At the inauguration of the Filinvest Development Corporation Misamis Powerplant in Misamis Oriental, Duterte said he would send an invitation to United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki Moon and the European lawmakers to investigate the alleged summary executions of suspected drug lords in the country. “You must be respectful…” Do not just throw questions… “It’s not me”, De Lima told reporters as she walked out of the senate chamber.
“We will be wallowing in the mud like pigs if you do that to me”.
Their statement did not sit well with the Philippine president, obviously.
The EU took a more tactful approach in its reply.
The victim was on bail while facing charges of possession of illegal drugs following a February 2013 suburban Manila police raid.
European Union lawmakers said in the resolution that “President Duterte repeatedly urged law enforcement agencies and the public to kill suspected drug traffickers who did not surrender, as well as drug users”.
President Duterte’s landslide victory in the May election was largely attributed to his promise to put an end to criminality and the country’s rampant drug problem in six months.

Duterte, a former crime-busting mayor of the southern city of Davao, won the presidency in May promising to suppress crime and wipe out drugs and drug dealers in three to six months.
