AMC Believes The Walking Dead Could Last as Long as Star Trek
Inexplicably, The Walking Dead was featured on this week’s show, which goes to show that even though The Walking Dead can be gross and adult, there’s nothing wrong with sharing the love.

There’s another new episode of “Fear the Walking Dead” coming to AMC on Sunday night, and judging from the new sneak peek below, tension is going to be the name of the game for Travis and Chris.
“[‘Star Trek”] came and went three times.
“The Walking Dead”, which easily finished last season as the No. 1 rated scripted series, enters Season 7 next month, but Sapan said he could envision the franchise becoming as lasting as long as “Star Trek”, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. “We do think that we have a franchise [in “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead’] that is one of the rare franchises that you occasionally come across in what we do for a living”. Forbes reported earlier in September the show is bleeding viewers. So in the grand scheme of things, it’s not that surprising that the show eventually got around to doing a dance based around The Walking Dead. Could we still be watching a version of The Walking Dead in 2046? Ezekiel himself will be an antithesis of sorts to all the chaos surrounding Rick Grimes and Negan, as previewed by “The Walking Dead” Season 6 finale, as The Kingdom leader is “bigger than life” according to Scott Gimple.

Those who read the comic books know most of this already, so it will be interesting to see if any spins are put on the source material when it comes to the small screen, as has been done in the past. That could change, but The Walking Dead has beaten their rival show to the punch and there’s no taking that away.
