Conte says Chelsea will improve

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp described his side’s performance as “football from hell”, after Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson’s unstoppable 30-yard drive ruined David Luiz’s Chelsea homecoming and brought Conte’s unbeaten start to shuddering halt.

They then showed their defensive mettle to hang on for a deserved 2-1 victory after Diego Costa halved the deficit. We played football like hell and it was brilliant to watch, it was wonderful.

Klopp galloped onto the pitch to congratulate his victorious players, overseeing the ritual of shaking his opponent manager’s hand, before enjoying this latest Liverpool triumph in front of the travelling supporters.

However, Hazard believes Conte will be able to get them back to winning ways.

Henderson increased the goal in the 36th minute with a world class strike which was impossible for Thibaut Courtois to save. “That’s all the truth but in the end. we have to prove it every week – or in this week, every three days because on Tuesday we have the EFL Cup against Derby, which will be a nice game too”.

“When you want to think like a great team you must pay attention in every moment”.

“We paid a lot”.

The Blues, who had to come from behind last weekend to secure a 2-2 draw with Swansea, seemed at least a step slow against the visitors throughout the first half on Friday, reports Efe. We scored a goal and could have scored another with Diego Costa.

Eden Hazard and Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the season on Friday and now must face Leicester. Last season was a bad season and I don’t want to repeat it. When you finish the season in 10th place, there is something unusual. This season the manager, the players, all the people at the club must take responsibility. Both clubs are now locked on 10 points, and will each be desperate for the win to ensure they don’t lose further ground on early leaders Man City. “The first half was really good – really good – from Daniel”.

“Are we title contenders?”

Liverpool have had a very strong start to the season with wins at Arsenal and now Chelsea, while they were also unlucky not to get all three points from White Hart Lane. My answer was ‘are you crazy?’ – I remember it.

This afternoon there were really hard decisions to make with Roberto [Firmino] – a very good player and it was only a little issue, but I had to make the decision, in the end, to say it was not possible [for him to play], Klopp confirmed after the win over Chelsea.
