Galaxy Note 7 Vs. Galaxy Note 5: Is It Worth The Upgrade?
As Samsung is (more or less) silently recalling over 2.5 million of its defective units (the battery catching fire and all that jazz), the sales of Galaxy Note 7 were already stopped, which is understandable, to say the least. The severity of the situation forced the American civil aviation body, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to ban Galaxy Notes 7 on commercial flights.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is not the first phone to experience short-circuit.
To prove that Galaxy Note 7 is safe to continue using, Samsung has provided an IMEI checker tool. It’s a damn good phone, and I really don’t want to have to return it. Sigh.
Safety regulators have ordered a formal recall of Samsung Galaxy Note 7s after dozens of devices exploded or caught fire.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is available in three colours – gold, black and white – in stores starting September 26.
Pocket-lint has a guide with more information about the recall, which includes details on how this saga began.
A Samsung spokesperson tells The Verge it is “aware of Mr. Strobel’s incident” but will not comment on pending litigation. At that point, Samsung said it would offer replacement Note 7 devices once the commission had approved them.
Earlier this year, the Note 7’s predecessor, the Note 5, was the top-rated phone on the American Consumer Satisfaction Index. You can use the Samsung+ app to automatically check your phone’s status and look up information about the recall.
Samsung has advised consumers in 10 countries to trade their handsets for temporary replacement phones until it releases an updated flagship device.
“I was very excited about the Note7”, he said. The 23-year-old said he’s now using an old phone borrowed from a friend, which he said was “really impractical”.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime boasts of a full metal unibody with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The entire episode is no doubt unsafe, but I think that Samsung has done a pretty good job so far regarding damage control.

Airlines across Europe, the United States and Australia have banned passengers from putting the phone in checked baggage and charging the device in the air.
