“You’re in this little bubble, you and your dance partner and you talk to the other contestants and that’s it”.

Television presenter and contestant on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, Laura Whitmore has signed up to star in the new Peter James adaptation at Richmond Theatre next year. Appearing on stage in almost every number with high energy dances or sultry smooches, they were fantastic. “I’m coming at this from zero experience”.
Also dancing tonight was Melvin Odoom, Tameka Empson, Anastacia, Claudia Fragapane and Will Young. I just wanted people to judge me on my dancing, but reality is kicking in now: “if the dancing starts to go badly, I’ll have to go down the shirtless route”.
“I’m very disappointed. Bronze is not good enough for me”.
But pro dancer Natalie Lowe, who would later be paired as his partner, dragged him back in.
Only one judge appeared to be not so pleased, with Craig Revel Horwood remarking: ‘I found it a bit saccharine, bit sickly, over the top. but it probably says a lot more about me than the dance’.
“My girlfriend, who has a dance background, watched a clip of some steps I had to learn and by the time I got home she had memorised them perfectly and gave me a masterclass”, he added.
She said: “I’m a huge fan of Peter James’ books and so honoured to be cast as his Cleo for her first theatrical outing”. I’ve been desperate to get a royal on the show.

Greg has been sharing posts of his Strictly adventure on Instagram. “I’m doing 10-hour training days with my partner Natalie Lowe, because I’m hoping that putting in loads of hard work will make up for my innate lack of dancing ability when we take to the dance floor”. He told me he’s always been desperate, that the one dance he would love to learn is the Argentine tango! “She deserves a medal”.
