Rooney-less United wins; Wenger joy as Arsenal beats Chelsea
The most impressive performance of the day came from Arsenal, which marked the 20th anniversary of Arsene Wenger’s appointment by ruthlessly beating Chelsea 3-0.

Arsenal’s French manager Arsene Wenger waves to the fans following the English Premier League football match between Arsenal and Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in London on May 15, 2016.
“Our defenders have done extremely well”.
“I think he’s a very strong player”.
The Blues, on the other hand, started the season on a bright note by winning the first three matches but dropped points in their last two games.
The Frenchman oversaw his side’s first league success against these opponents in five years with a flawless opening half which in effect settled the derby. It was in and out in the second, which was understandable. “His first step, second step in the box is so good and that is why he is one of the best strikers in the world but I want to help him improve his game”.
Courtois blocked a Walcott drive and Granit Xhaka, a first-half substitute for the injured Francis Coquelin, lashed over the bar as Arsenal again threatened to score a fourth.
In a serialization of forthcoming book “Jose Mourinho: Up Close and Personal”, the Daily Mail published alleged comments from the Portuguese saying that he wanted to “break his face” when manager of Chelsea during the 2013-14 season. “Today we had a good performance”, said Wenger. We couldn’t ever say to the players: ‘You’ve always done it against Chelsea,’ because that wasn’t true.
“I’m hungrier than when I arrived because I know I haven’t another 20 years in front of me”, he said.
Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, whose side have now gone three league games without a win, slid to eighth, the optimism engendered by their three opening victories now nearly a distant memory.
“We must reflect on this because we have had two defeats in two big games”. It is incredible to concede three goals.
“He is not the kind of player who impresses you at first. We must reflect a lot to find very soon the right way”. “The inconvenient facts were to get those recent defeats out of our system and we did that”.
“And again, I don’t think the book will be in the gallery of the Shakespeares and so on and I prefer just to not comment”.

“We have not got the balance and now is the moment to consider everything”.
