Jets’ Marshall likely game-time call with ailing knee, foot
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) Brandon Marshall will likely be a game-time decision for the New York Jets on Sunday at Kansas City as he continues to recover from knee and foot injuries.

Meanwhile, Charles was listed as doubtful for the Jets on Friday’s injury report, and it is becoming increasingly likely that the four-time Pro Bowl player will not play before the Chiefs’ bye.
Marshall sprained his knee and injured his foot, on the same play, in last Thursday’s win at the Bills. He’ll be the visitor come Sunday when the Jets come into town searching for a second consecutive road victory. But the good thing is, there’s still time. I’ve always tried to get out there. But I’m still hopeful that we still have a couple hours left to get a lot of treatment, rest.
Marshall, in his 11th National Football League season, has been mostly durable throughout his career.
Nevertheless, Marshall pointed to his track record of having missed just five games over the past seven seasons because of injuries.
But he did express some caution about his availability for Sunday because of the nature – which he wouldn’t detail, other than to say it’s a “knee and foot” – of this particular injury.
“It’s a knee”, Marshall said. They’re in our division, so you’re watching, and you see what’s going on. There’s definitely something going on in there. “Although every game’s important, and we approach them that way, you never want to hurt the team or hurt yourself worse”. It’s a knee. There’s a lot of guys that are out this year because of knees. “If a tackle needs to be made at the end of a game to close out games or pin offenses back in their territory or prevent them from scoring a last minute-touchdown, I want to be that guy”, he said.
“I’m confident in our receiving corps if I’m not out there”. Marshall was injured on the play, but later returned to the game. Eric Decker is capable of stepping in as the No. 1, Quincy Enunwa has looked great to start the season, rookie Jalin Marshall is promising and both Matt Forte and Bilal Powell can catch passes out of the backfield. There’s a lot of adrenaline and then if you go into a game and you have other injuries, you might take a Toradol, a pill or so, to help.
“The problem with injuries is that after a few hours and the next day or two, there’s a lot of blood flow to that area and swelling increases”, Marshall said.
“Usually, what you’re fighting is getting the inflammation out, get the swelling out, and getting the flexibility back”.

Left guard James Carpenter was also a full-go after a sore calf kept him out the first two full days of practice. Linebacker David Harris was limited and is questionable for Sunday.
