“We’ve had a goal to take the blanket back to the United Kingdom at some point because that’s the birthplace of our particular colonisation, and this is the next best thing”.

Standing alongside Gov. -Gen. The royal couple is well known for being incredibly down to earth and gracious as we saw during their 2011 visit and I’m confident will do their best to make you feel less embarrassed about your misstep.
Prince William and Kate have arrived in Canada with Prince George and Princess Charlotte for their first royal overseas tour as a family of four! Britain’s William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte step off the plane as they arrive in Victoria, British Columbia, Saturday, Sept.
They did not disappoint.
The Vancouver Sun’s Steven Hume said locals in Victoria, where the Duke and Duchess will arrive, were “still insane for” the royals although the proportion of people with British roots had declined. But after a long flight, the children did a remarkable job.
In a world obsessed with royalties, the public’s growing fondness over the royal families is quite unsurprising anymore.
They were scheduled to participate in a welcoming ceremony at the B.C. legislature on Saturday evening. “We’re just happy to be here”.
The Duchess will then be presented with flowers from 14-year-old Victoria Foster from Ottawa.
She and two friends spent the hours before the royal arrival sitting on the legislature lawn, heads burrowed in textbooks, sustained by chips and dip. The crowd oohed and ahhed at the first sight of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. After deplaning, the family met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Trudeau and other dignitaries before heading to Victoria for the rest of their royal duties.
The couple’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have also put a spotlight on children’s collections.
They will travel to Victoria with the Royal Canadian Air Force and will be greeted at Victoria Airport before moving to Government House – where they will be based throughout the tour – for a very brief stop.
“When treaties were made they weren’t made with the local officials, but with Queen Victoria”, Lutz said of the monarch who reigned from 1837 to 1901 and is considered the mother of the British Empire. “We drove down last night and we’ve been here since 6 o’clock this morning so we’re very excited”.
“He’s cute. He’s cool. Sophie and I look forward to showcasing lovely British Columbia and to promoting awareness of both youth and mental health issues alongside Their Royal Highnesses”, Prime Minister Trudeau said in a government press release. When Prince George was born, it was reported that Amanda was the first to see the Duchess of Cambridge in order to coif Kate’s hair.
The Victoria Times Colonist reports that William and Kate will lay a wreath at the cenotaph to honour Canadian military service and acknowledge a plaque commemorating the Afghanistan mission.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children have arrived in Canada for a highly anticipated eight-day tour.
The royal tour will end on October 1.
Dishaw says at that time Kate really started to come into her own as a member of the royal family as she took on her own patronage and became more involved in public life. “I said no mom, let’s just go early”. The League does a study on “the cost of the crown” every few years, and it comes out to about $2 per person, per year.

If you do have the opportunity to address them they should be addressed initially as Your Royal Highness and then after that as Sir or Ma’am as appropriate. Many readers were not amused.
