‘Straight Outta Compton’ Sequel About Tupac And Snoop Is In The Works

Stay tuned for further details… We’re told the title is “Dogg Pound 4 Life“.
Straight Outta Compton has seen tremendous success since its August 14 release, and it was only a matter of time before news of another new hip-hop biopic would make its way to the public.
Dogg Pound veteran Daz said that the sequel will not whitewash gang violence and its impact on the rap industry, a criticism which has been leveled by many against Straight Outta Compton, which has also been disparaged for airbrushing Dr. Dre’s misogynistic past. Because Suge Knight is behind bars it will not be easy for producers to confer with him, if they are able to do so at all.
Directed by F. Gary Gray, “Straight Outta Compton” chronicles the rise of N.W.A.in the mid-’80’s to the death of founding member Eazy-E.
The success of “Straight Outta Compton” and expectations of a repeat showing at the top of the box office comes as Universal adds 215 more locations, to show the music oriented drama.
As you recall, there has been a large spotlight cast on Dr. Dre and his reported physical abuse of his former girlfriends back in the 1990s, including singer Michel’le. TMZ reports that Dre’s son Curtis Young will play the Doc, and that the movie will have different actors from Compton.

It’s release pulled in impressive audiences earlier this month, beating Mission: Imossible – Rogue Nation, at $17 million, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E., $13.5 million.
