NY Times editorial board endorses Clinton
Clinton had planned to visit the city, which is still dealing with unrest after an African-American man was shot and killed by police. But Clinton chose to postpone the trip hours later after Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts – also a Democrat – told CNN her city’s security resources were stretched thin and urged Clinton to delay her visit.

Clinton is calling on the city of Charlotte to publicly release the police video from the Scott shooting.
“The best case for Hillary Clinton can not be, and is not, that she isn’t Donald Trump”, the newspaper said in an editorial that will run in Sunday’s newspaper.
According to Hillary for Iowa, the former secretary of state will make her second visit to Iowa since getting the nomination in late July to lay out what’s at stake in the November 8 election and urge Iowans to vote early to support her vision of America.
Two police videos from a dashboard camera and an officer’s body camera show how Scott died, but have not been released to the public.

The former secretary of state has “produced detailed proposals on crime, policing and race relations, debt-free college and small-business incentives, climate change and affordable broadband”, The Times’ editorial board said. The officer in that shooting was charged with manslaughter this week. We have so much work to do.
