Green called police early Wednesday to tell them that he had killed his family and waited for police on his porch.

Police said the man called police at about 1:30 a.m. from the home on Hipp Street and confessed to killing his family.

Krause said police found the man’s children, a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, on the first floor of the home.

Green’s 17-year-old stepdaughter Kara Allen and 19-year-old stepson Chadney J Allen were found dead and bound in the basement after being shot execution style, ClickOnDetroit reported. She is listed in critical condition, the station reports.

Penk said that as far as she knew, there has not been a recent police response to the house and that they had just remodeled the outside of house.

Gregory Green appeared in court today and has been charged with the murders of all four children and the torture of their mother.

On Thursday a 49-year-old MI man was charged with torturing his wife and murdering his two kids and two stepchildren. “A confluence of events led to the deaths of four handsome children”, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said. She is recovering at an area hospital. It is believed they were poisoned with carbon monoxide inside a vehicle before being moved back into the house. “I mean, I don’t think I deserve it”, Green said in court.

In 1991, Green stabbed his pregnant wife to death then called police to the Detroit home, according to the Department of Corrections.

“I don’t need bond”, Green told the judge. It is alleged that Green bound his wife, cut her face with a box cutter and shot her foot.

Gregory Green was released from prison in 2008 after serving a sentence for second-degree murder. She also filed for divorce in 2013 but the case was dismissed for lack of action.

Citing an ongoing investigation, Dearborn Heights police remained tight-lipped at a news conference Wednesday. A personal protection order that same year was rejected by a judge. During his incarceration, Gautz said, Green only received one citation for fighting with his bunkmate who wanted to watch television while Green wanted to sleep.

“The justice system failed this family because obviously the defendant was not rehabilitated and was not ready to be a member of the community”, he said. She also said he faces five potential life offenses, has a previous criminal history and prosecutors believe their chance of convictions in the case are “very strong”.

“Just two or three weeks ago, they had a birthday party, balloons and all that stuff out there”, said neighbor Ronnie Jones.
