De Bruyne opened the scoring with a clever free-kick as Guardiola’s men maintained their ideal start to the Premier League season at the Etihad Stadium. I think he’s special, an outstanding player.

“He knows absolutely everything, he sees absolutely everything and in front of goal he makes assists and scores goals”. At every training session they look after you individually, one by one – the fitness coaches, the assistant coaches and the EDS (Elite Development Squad) when he sends players to them. “That’s why he is a player at another level”. Hopefully he can enjoy with us to play his wonderful football.

“My happiness does not depend on if I am going to win all the titles or not”.

He has dismissed the suggestion that they will win the Premier League title comfortably as well as being talked about as potential Champions League winners. Maybe. Maybe I’m wrong. But I chose to play [others]. “But I think he is happy when he plays with performances like today”.

Guardiola made four changes to the team that had outclassed Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday, with Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Nolito and Iheanacho coming in.

“Numbers are numbers and records will be beaten”.

Guardiola said: “The important thing is we won a game just a few days after a Champions League game”. We showed good character – we did really well, pressing them high, pressing them very quickly. Our plan wasn’t to sit as deep in the first half but we ended up getting trapped. “They were better than us today”, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said. “We are disappointed with our overall performance”. Believe me, we’re going to lose. hopefully as late as possible but we will. “He came to us injured but he’s been training with us for the past one or two weeks and he gets better every day”.

England midfielder Jack Wilshere failed to impress on his first start since joining the Cherries on loan from Arsenal.

He gave away the free-kick that led to City’s 15th-minute opener, De Bruyne cleverly stroking the set-piece beneath the jumping wall and into the bottom corner.

Howe said: “It was hard for Jack”.

“This is the best team I have worked with and it doesn’t get mentioned a lot. We will take care of him and I hope he will enjoy it with us to play his unbelievable football”, Guardiola told reporters after the match, reported AFP.
