Pradesh Congress pays rich tributes to Late. Rajiv Gandhi
Political leaders on Thursday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in the Parliament on his 71st birth anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the former Prime Minister as a “visionary and brave leader” who sacrificed his life for maintaining the unity and integrity of the country.
Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Rajiv Gandhi’s spouse and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi together with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid floral tributes at Vir Bhumi, the samadhi of Rajiv Gandhi.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her son and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, her daughter Priyanka Vadra, son-in-law Robert Vadra and her grand-daughter Miraya were amongst those present on the occasion.
TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy hailed former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi as a “visionary”, who had steered the country towards booming technology sector.
The day is also observed as Sadbhavana Diwas.
Rajiv was the sixth Prime Minister of India.

He was assassinated by the LTTE on May 21, 1991 at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu during an election campaign.
