On Thursday, Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler announced Shelby will face a manslaughter charge.
The incident was caught on police helicopter video and a dashboard camera, and footage of the tragic shooting was released Monday.
Crutcher’s twin sister, Tiffany Crutcher, said her family is pleased with the charge, but she and her attorneys want a vigorous prosecution that leads to a conviction. “I think (prosecutors) must have thought charges were warranted”, he said.
Damario Solomon-Simmons, the attorney for Crutcher family, said it was “apparent” that Shelby had to be charged because “a crime had been committed”.
On September 16, she shot dead Terence Crutcher, an unarmed black man.
Boosie added, ” I’m exhausted of this pu$$y a$$ sh*t I think it’s safe to say ‘ do not stop for the police it’s a 70% chance they will kill u n it’s a 97% chance they will be found not guilty (FACTS) 4 years smh ‘ without that badge she a bitch n a half”. Family attorneys have said the vehicle’s window was rolled up, and he wasn’t reaching inside.
Wood said once Shelby turns herself she’ll go to jail, bond out and then be arraigned. She was responding to a separate call for a domestic disturbance when she came upon Crutcher in the road. Shelby did not activate her patrol car’s dashcam, so no footage exists of what happened before other officers arrived. Then she saw Crutcher and talked to him. Crutcher was mumbling to himself and wouldn’t answer Shelby’s questions, the document says.
At that point, Shelby pulled out her service weapon and followed Crutcher to the vehicle. According to the police, he was Tasered by officer Tyler Turnbough and shot by Shelby.
According to an affidavit filed by Doug Campbell, Chief Investigator with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office, Shelby feared for her life as Crutcher reached into the driver’s side window of his SUV. The man warned that it was going to blow up, the caller said.
The officers surround Crutcher and he suddenly drops to the ground.
President Barack Obama says recent reports of unarmed African Americans being shot by police “should be a source of concern for all Americans”.

Footage also shows the officers waiting for more than two and a half minutes before approaching Crutcher’s dying body as he laid in the street. She requested police back up, saying that Crutcher was not cooperating.
