Beijing conveyed the message during a meeting of its top diplomat in the provincial capital with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, The Dawn reported.
He went on to say that many countries will benefit from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). We will force you to be left alone in the world. In response to a question, the spokesperson of India’s Ministry for External Affairs, Vikas Swarup, merely said, “For any such treaty to work, it is important that there must be mutual cooperation and trust between both the sides”.
Modi’s speech in the southern Indian town of Kozhikode was his first since 18 soldiers were killed in an attack on an army base in Indian-controlled Kashmir last Sunday.
Modi, though, did not directly threatened Pakistan but was continuously attacking Pakistan for being “Only one nation in Asia promoting Terrorism”.
“There have been 17 fidayeen attempts by our neighbour, which our fearless soldiers foiled”.
Mr. Modi said in the 21st century, India must be free from poverty, unemployment, discrimination, injustice and corruption.
He said every country is holding one nation responsible for terrorism as only that country in Asia is a safe haven for terrorists. He said the day is not far off when the people of Pakistan will come out to fight against terrorism.
He exhorted Pakistanis to ask its government, when India is exporting software, why is Pakistan exporting terror. He said that country wanted to “paint the entire continent with blood”, and was “voting against Asia’s prosperity”.
“Let me tell Pakistan that the sacrifice of 18 Indian soldiers will not go to waste”, Modi said in his speech. “I want to remind them that before 1947 your forefathers too used to consider this country as your motherland, worship it. Keeping that in mind I want to ask a few things”.
Hitting hard at Pakistan, Modi said there was a sense of anger among people over the audacious Uri attack and the deaths of soldiers.
“To express solidarity with Kashmiris the Pakistani government should be ordered to put immediate ban on exhibition of Indian movies across the country”, it pleaded.
Crisis and tensions related to political activities are part of the routine for the state; therefore, PTI’s demand to launch a mass movement against the government should not be stopped due to the current situation affecting relations with India, said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira while talking to DNA.
