Donald Trump Surprises Dr. Oz with Physical Exam Results

The physical was done September 9 by Dr. Harold N. Bornstein of New York City, the same doctor who raved about Trump’s health in a December statement.

Trump, 70, is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 236 pounds, the letter by Dr. Harold Bornstein, dated September 13, said. Bornstein is the same doctor who previously said Trump would, if elected, be the healthiest president in history.

The physical was conducted last week by Dr. Harold Bornstein, the same doctor who wrote a glowing assessment of Trump’s health that has been widely questioned.

“The results of Trump’s medical, which he said he had several weeks prior to the show, state he is 236lbs (16st8lbs) and stands at 6’3”, giving him a BMI of 29.1 – which the NHS states is overweight. It was the second Bronstein wrote addressing Trump’s health. Trump’s campaign then promised to release the results of the GOP nominee’s latest physical to the public, rather than just discussing them with the controversial doctor and daytime TV host.

“Well I really have no problem in doing it”, Donald told Dr. Oz of releasing his medical summary. As he had reported in a previous letter that contained more hyperbole than facts, Trump is taking a cholesterol-lowering medication and baby aspirin.

Trump’s campaign said the latest results were from a physical exam conducted by Bornstein on September 9.

Trump’s physician, Dr. Bornstein, drew attention a year ago with a superlative report on the candidate’s health.

Bornstein said there was no history in Trump’s family of premature cardiac or neoplastic disease, which includes all kinds of cancers and abnormal growths. Most worrying about the results that Dr. Oz shared about Trump was his weight, which is reportedly 267 pounds.

Trump said in an interview Monday on “Fox & Friends” that he planned to release “very, very” specific information from a physical exam that he took last week amid ongoing scrutiny of his health and that of Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign has announced that it will reveal further medical records this week, too. The show airs Thursday. The health of the candidates has come to the forefront of national political discussion over the presidential campaign in light of what the Clinton campaign first called a “medical episode” during the 15th annual memorial service for the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
