No. 10 Texas A&M wins 5th straight vs No. 17 Arkansas
Now, it’s Knight’s turn for Texas A&M, and he has a team around him capable of pushing for the Aggies’ best season yet as a member of the SEC. The ball was placed perfectly for Reynolds and he let his speed take care of the rest on a 92-yard touchdown drive. Trayveon Williams scored twice and ran for 153 yards on just 12 carries.

Allen was 28-of-41 for 371 yards and two TDs, but that’s just part of the story. Texas A&M’s defense rose to the occasion, especially in the shadow of its end zone.
Allen came out for the Razorbacks’ next offensive possession, where Rowe then reported that he had been diagnosed with a bruised chest muscle and that his shoulder pads are sitting directly on the injury, but Allen would tough it out. It was Williams’ fourth touchdown this season. That was one of three lost fumbles. Arkansas had three turnovers.
With a matchup against a much weaker SC next week, it appears A&M will move to 5-0 once again. “We stopped them three times before that play on the goal line so we knew they were going to come with something tricky”.
Tied at 17-17, Arkansas was on their 1-yard line and appeared ready to cap a 19-play, 89-yard drive with a touchdown.
Tonight, for the first time since Bobby Petrino’s seventh-ranked 2011 Razorbacks defeated No. 11 Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl, a ranked Arkansas team battles a top-25 opponent. His goal-line stop of Hatcher provided the final momentum-turner in a tie game.
For the rest of the game, the Razorback defense was on its heels, slow to react and was shredded, passed over and run through as A&M ran away from the Hogs 45-24, the Aggies’ fifth straight win in the series and the third straight in AT&T Stadium. The Aggies went up two touchdowns on Williams’ 33-yard dash early in the fourth. Arkansas averaged just 3 yards per rush. Knight’s second long touchdown run pulled the Aggies even at 17-17 going into halftime.
But they have a running game (366 rushing yards on Saturday; an impressive 9.9 yards per tote), they can stop the run and pressure the passer on defense. Texas A&M and Arkansas both have found the right answers under center, with Oklahoma graduate transfer Trevor Knight leading the Aggies, and Austin Allen guiding the Razorback attack.
Williams leads the Aggies in rushing with 389 yards on 40 carries and three touchdowns.
On a designed quarterback draw that was executed to perfection, he scampered 48 yards for the game-tying touchdown. The drive started after Myles Garrett recovered a fumble in the Arkansas backfield.
“This game has been something else”, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin said.
The Razorbacks weren’t almost as potent, but quarterback Austin Allen and running back Rawleigh Williams III provided enough stability to help Arkansas hang around. But the bigger play, based on the situation, may have been a forced fumble and recovery a split-second before Arkansas running back Rawleigh Williams had a chance to cross the goal line and boost the Hogs’ 10-7 advantage in the second quarter. Saturday’s game will be the first for the Razorbacks with two ranked teams since January 6, 2012, when No. 7 Arkansas defeated No. 11 Kansas State 29-16. Allen hit Keon Hatcher from 15 yards out to take the early lead.

Arkansas wanted a better angle for kicker Cole Hedlund on a 20-yard field goal attempt from the left hash mark during the second quarter, so the Razorbacks were called for delay of game.
