Details of the man’s arrest were announced by police on Saturday night.

“We are united in knowing that the status quo is not good enough when it comes to violence in our community”, said Washington Governor Jay Inslee.

Officers of the Island County Sheriff’s Office said they were driving through Oak Harbor in search of Cetin when they spotted him walking on the street about 6:30 p.m.

Authorities alleged Dahir Ahmed Adan stabbed nine people before he was fatally shot by a police officer.

“We are devastated by the tragic events that occurred last night at Cascade Mall”, Macy’s said in a statement on its Facebook page Saturday.

Coalescing with the notion that Arcan Cetin may have come to the Burlington shopping mall to take revenge against his ex girlfriend who he may have believed to still be working at the Macy’s were unconfirmed reports from witnesses that Cetin had shouted a woman’s name multiple times just moments before opening fire, according to FOX-Q13.

Island County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Hawley said he spotted Cetin in Oak Harbor immediately recognized Cetin as the suspect upon spotting him from a patrol vehicle.

Cammock said it was too early to officially give a motive Saturday night.

“He was trying to go to the mall and people were screaming”, she said.

Law enforcement investigate a deadly shooting in the Macy’s store at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Wash. The mall remained closed on Saturday as investigators sifted for evidence and attempted to recreate the crime scene. “I know there are seven million pairs of arms that would want to embrace the families and their losses and the whole Skagit County community”.

The identities of the victims – four women who ranged in age from a teenager to a senior citizen – were withheld pending autopsies and notification of family.

Stephanie Bost, an employee at Johnny Carino’s, a restaurant at the mall, said that after hearing from a customer about the shooting, about 90 metres away, “we went on lockdown”.

Surveillance video provided by the Washington State Patrol shows the suspect in a shooting rampage at the Cascade Mall. A man who was wounded in the shooting died early Saturday, officials said. The city of Burlington has probably changed forever, but I don’t think our way of life needs to change. None of the victims were identified.

Police in Washington state have identified the man they say killed five people at a mall near Seattle Friday night.

The shooting rocked the small community about 60 miles north of Seattle.
