Corbyn leaves MPs at mercy of constituents
Jeremy Corbyn has urged Labour to “wipe the slate clean” after he was re-elected as party leader following a bitter campaign which saw him defeat challenger Owen Smith.

But Mr Corbyn hit back, insisting there was “absolute unity” in Labour in opposing “any form of anti-Semitism, any form of racism”.
Natasha Josette, a Momentum activist, said the result was proof Labour could garner grassroots support.
He faced a second election in less than 12 months after he alienated numerous party’s Members of Parliament. It’s also the relationships, the community, the effectiveness of representation. I think the majority of the PLP would say, ‘Fair enough.
MPs will also be pressing for greater assurances that Corbyn’s supporters will now not try to deselect those of them who have been hostile to his leadership.
The plan to reduce the number of MPs in the House of Commons by implementing a new boundary map means Labour-held constituencies may have to reselect their MPs.
“Our party has a duty of care to our members”, he said.
“Now it is more serious than that. If the Labour Party splits, it could be the end of the Labour Party”.
The bruising leadership contest followed a mass walkout from the shadow cabinet and a 172-40 vote of no confidence in Mr Corbyn’s leadership by MPs.
London- Reelecting Jeremy Corbyn as a leader of Britain’s opposition Labor Party and addition to the political debate which he caused since being elected, are events similar to a chapter of “A Very British Coup” novel by Chris Mullin.
The leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, reacts after the announcement of his victory in the party’s leadership election, in Liverpool, Britain on Saturday.
Corbyn is highly unlikely to face another challenge before the next general election, which is due by May 2020.
Their civil war against Corbyn started when MP Angela Eagle launched a bid for the leadership in an attempt to show Corbyn the door.
Pro-Corbyn lawmaker Richard Burgon said he hoped colleagues “who have expended so much energy in the last 12 months trying to remove Jeremy Corbyn will now focus their talents, their energies and their experience on taking the fight to the Conservatives”.
“We’ve got to move on from this notion of crushing people who disagree with us”, he said.
His critics accused him of of abandoning his “natural and historic” position over Europe by committing the Labour party to campaigning to stay in the EU. Recent grim tweets include an Australian who wants to behead me and a Trump supporter who hates refugees. I wasn’t happy with his leadership.
Proposals to restore elections to the shadow cabinet in a bid to smooth the way for the return of moderates who quit in June made no progress at a meeting of the party’s ruling National Executive Committee.
He has said Labour will be pressing for Britain to have full access to the EU’s single market, but without requirements to liberalize and privatize public services.

Smith said in a statement that he fully accepts and respects the result. But there might be others that say, “I want to do a particular role”.
