Pep: Aguero is quality, but I can still help him improve

September 25: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has backed Sergio Aguero to turn into an even better player after the striker guided his side to a 3-1 away victory against Swansea in their Premier League clash.

Finally, Sergio Aguero has completed his suspension and will be available for Saturday’s game.

It meant Guardiola became only the second manager to win his first six Premier League matches, joining Carlo Ancelotti.

Conte has undertaken a rebuilding job at Stamford Bridge after last season’s disastrous title defence under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink, who took over after the Portuguese’s sacking. He said: “I am so happy for Sergio”.

His goal and assist last time out helped him to achieve a stunning 60.25 FanDuel points as the Manchester club hammered Bournemouth and it’s hard to argue against picking the Belgian once again this time around. “But I have seen my team grow up”.

The Citizens have a flawless start in the season with five Premier League victories and four more victories in the Champions League and EFL Cup.

Guardiola’s passing principles at Barcelona were a guiding light for Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers during their time at Swansea. “It was a good game and now there is disappointment in my team, but if we play like this in the future then it will be a good future for us”.

Willy Caballero started Wednesday’s game, and while his shot-stopping was very good, his distribution was incredibly poor.

He concluded: “I think he is injured, unfortunately – that’s why we need a big squad because these things happen and it is a long season”.

Kevin De Bruyne went close for City on 34 minutes off a pass from Ilkay Gundogan but he dragged his effort just wide.

Three of the goals came via Danny Blind corners from the left as Leicester plunged to their third defeat, as many as they suffered in the whole of last season. It is a pity.

“We’ll see how our level is there”.

“(His performance) was good. He knows I want more and he can play better and that’s what he wants and what we want, but he scored a fantastic first goal today.

“But we have to expect that maybe Swansea will play with five at the back because against Chelsea he played with five”.

“Before the penalty, we had the chance to score and we deserved to score”.

“Instead, it is important to work with my players and have a good relationship with them”.

Then with Swansea attacking, Leon Britton lost possession and Sterling stormed up the field before applying an effortless finish, and City were home and dry.

At first I thought it was harsh, but if you but your elbow that high, in his face, you give the referee the opportunity to give the penalty. The referee is the judge.

“I said thanks to the referee after the game because that is the attitude I have towards referees”.

They play Liverpool next weekend and then Arsenal on October 15, at the Emirates.
