The quarterback suffered a sprained ankle during the third quarterback of the Seahawks 12-10 win against Miami Dolphins. There’s also a process to decide what the Dolphins will do just before that game and if some players – Stills included – will again kneel during the playing of the national anthem. He had bulbous, black-tape wraps on the outsides of his ankles. Boykin had his helmet on and was taking snaps with starting center Justin Britt in front of the bench before Wilson popped off the training table to re-enter the game to begin the Seahawks’ next offensive series. Even a simple play-action fake typically ends with him doing a sprint towards the edge. With Marshawn Lynch limited by injuries, the three-time Pro Bowler needed to step up a bit more and did just that.

Despite the major pain he was feeling though, he still managed to lead the Seahawks to a come-from-behind victory. Russell Wilson’s favorite target also hauled in the game-winning touchdown with less than a minute left.

After that game he was asked if he was feeling vast pain and whether it would keep him out in the future. Baldwin said Wilson had never before done that particular switch.

“The message that we’re sending is, yes, there are things in our country that need to be changed, but that’s why our country is so great”, Baldwin told reporters Sunday.

If Wilson is unable to go against the Rams, the Seahawks will be forced to turn to backup quarterback Trevone Boykin, an undrafted rookie free agent. “We weren’t sure what he could do”, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said.

“We talked about it on the sideline that certain play was open for the block and we went out there and executed”, said Marsh.

Rookie Trevone Boykin is now the only other quarterback on the active roster.

“He’s pretty good”, Carroll said when asked about Wilson’s condition.

Christine Michael, who had a resurgence in his second stint with the Seahawks late last season continued it Sunday with 15 carries for 66 yards. Graham played sparingly and made his only catch, an 11-yarder, during the Seahawks’ game-winning drive. On fourth and 4 from the Seattle 47 and 2:08 left, Wilson’s lofted pass found Baldwin for a 22-yard gain to the Miami 31.
