Trump has a significant built-in advantage in that there’s a lower standard for him – not because the media isn’t tough enough on him, as all the media mavens agree, but because he’s the de facto challenger and candidate of change in a change election.

The moderator will kick each segment off by asking a question and giving each candidate two minutes to respond.
“I’ll tell you I am going to do my very best to communicate as clearly and fearlessly as I can in the face of the insults and the attacks and the bullying and bigotry that we’ve seen coming from my opponent”, she said during a radio interview earlier this week.
But senior Republicans on the panel said Trump has never held a government job or been elected to public office.
As the first presidential debate of 2016 arrives at 9 p.m. Monday, isn’t that what is really most on everyone’s mind?
There are numerous allegations of pay-for-play at her State Department.
Trump has argued Democratic complaints about Lauer were meant as a warning to Holt. This is just one of many issues in which Hillary Clinton is out of step with the American people. The third debate, which will follow the exact same format as the first, will take place on October 19 at UNLV. “But because of the expectations game, Bush was seen as the victor”.
As Carter sees it, the presence of Clinton adds one more reason for moderators to act as mere facilitators, aware that badgering a presidential candidate always looks bad – and, in this case, could potentially cross a line into sexist territory.
“I’m very scared, most so for my kids and my grandkids”, Hammett said. Bush pollster Matthew Dowd told journalists the MA senator was “the best debater since Cicero”, referring to the Roman philosopher and orator.
Before we go any further; speaking of coughing, as reported by Drudge Report on Friday, the debate rules have been released and there will no “time outs” for coughing fits.
