Toomer’s tree set on fire
Fans were celebrating Auburn’s wild 18-13 win over LSU in the traditional way – lobbing rolls of toilet paper into the trees at Toomer’s corner.

September 25, 2016Someone inadvertently set the one of the Toomer’s Oaks on fire.
In a video shared by a Twitter user, a man appears to intentionally light the toilet paper hanging from one of the trees before immediately taking off.
However, it looks like the fire department arrived pretty quickly and got things under control. Firefighters extinguished the burning tree and Auburn fans later re-rolled it once the flames had been doused.
The new Toomer’s Corner trees were planted past year to replace the ones that were poisoned by an Alabama fan after the 2010 Iron Bowl. The tradition had been suspended in 2013 after the trees were poisoned in 2011.
The Tigers are set to take on UL-Monroe on October 1 at 3:30 p.m. E.T.

So, the ending to Saturday’s Auburn-LSU game was pretty insane. There aren’t many teams with a better set of victories.
