New details about the incident, which happened on a private plane while the Jolie-Pitt family was traveling from France to the USA, claims there was absolutely no abuse involved and it was simply an argument between a parent and their child.

Later on Thursday, TMZ, CelebrityInsider and People magazine said the case had subsequently been transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation as the alleged incident occurred in the air.
The FBI has released a statement indicating that it is considering whether to investigate Brad Pitt over child abuse allegations following news that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce.
TMZ state that the couple “were on a flight last Wednesday when he allegedly got wasted on the private jet”.
The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services is investigating a child abuse claim involving Brad Pitt, sources told ABC News.
LA County Dept of Children and Family services has already interviewed Pitt, Jolie, and plans to interview the children as part of their ongoing investigation, TMZ reported.
Initial attempts to reach representatives for Jolie and Pitt were not successful.
Brad is said to be taking the investigation “very seriously” and is “scared” he will lose his children over something that never happened.
And this: “The LAPD is not handling any report or allegations into child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt”, read a statement published by Us Weekly.
According to reports, Brad Pitt lunged at Maddox during an in-flight argument with Angelina Jolie.
He said: “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids”.
In divorce papers filed on September 19, Jolie cited “irreconcilable differences” as her reason for divorcing Pitt. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time”. She is seeking physical custody of their six children.

A source said at the time: “The final divorce decision was only made one week ago”. The couple married on August 14, 2014 after a 12-year relationship.
