Lions end Anash out, Levy doubtful to play against Packers

In the 17-14 loss to the Vikings on Sunday, Rodgers was 20 of 36 for 213 yards with one touchdown, but his one interception came late in the fourth quarter to end the Packers’ hopes for a comeback. Is something wrong with him?

He’s more concerned about what McCarthy and his coaches have to say. With a reputation as one of the most consistently successful franchises, their lack of cohesion and execution is startling. All eyes are on the Packers and their MVP quarterback this weekend. For one of those missed contests, he was a last-minute scratch, so preparing to face the Lions without Megatron is nearly a foreign concept for Green Bay. “It was one thing to guard him, but it was another thing to play the ball when it was thrown to him”. Sunday night against the Vikings was a good example. Let’s take a look at what’s ahead for the NFC North.

Rodgers is really itching for a big performance and he has had several against Detroit. He nearly has to because if he and the offense play poorly and the Packers lose, then things will get even uglier for Rodgers. Datone Jones was added to the injury report this week with a knee injury.

“I think that part of it has changed tremendously over the years”. Without Abdullah the Lions will have additional trouble moving the ball, which should benefit the Packers offense by giving them more time of possession.

He has proven unable to do so far this season so this bears watching closely.

But Rodgers hasn’t had a passer rating over 100 since Week 6 last season.

He was referring to Calvin Johnson, of course, aka Megatron. This time, Green Bay is working top receiver Jordy Nelson back into the system after he hurt was last preseason.

Green Bay’s defense has been solid, especially it’s top-ranked run defense. Damarious Randall can not get torched again like he did by Sam Bradford last week. Golden Tate is a holdover and Marvin Jones, a free agent signed from Cincinnati and Anquan Boldin, the veteran have joined the mix.

Detroit heads to the not-yet frozen tundra of Lambeau Field to face a Green Bay team that is uncharacteristically struggling on offense.

The Lions defense is short-handed, just in time for a showdown with Rodgers. “There’s been a lot going on between that time”.

It won’t be almost enough to fully silence all the critics, but it will be a start as the Packers jump out to an early lead.

Back then, the Packers were having similar issues on offense.
