Paul Pogba Already “Causing Ripples” In United Dressing Room

It took weeks of back and forth before the Frenchman signed for United last August, during which both Raiola and Pogba kept fans guessing with a number of subtle hints on social media.

“This summer he [Ibrahimovic] said to me, ‘Don’t let Pogba go anywhere else or I will break your legs!'” Raiola revealed to De Volkskrant.

As it turned out, the 34-year-old got his wish and Pogba moved for the world record transfer fee of £89 million, leaving Raiola with an amusing story to tell.

Last month Pogba did his best impression of the big Swede – much to the delight of Thierry Henry who was interviewing the France worldwide.

Paul Pogba scored his first goal for the 20-time Premier League champions when he headed in Dailly Blind’s corner late into the first half as United defeated defending champions Leicester City 4-1 in a one-sided contest.

Ahead of the game, Raiola reiterated that Pogba’s favourite position is in an advanced midfield role on the left.

It is fair to say that Paul Pogba’s second coming hasn’t yet turned out to be what fans had been expecting when the French worldwide signed for a world record fee in August. So far, Mourinho is lining him up as an attacking midfielder.

“With his power, stamina and technique… In the end, José Mourinho is the coach and he will make the right decisions”.
