Sam Neill reveals he’s in Thor: Ragnarok
Speculation has been rife over who Sam could be playing with Faust-inspired demon Mephisto, telepathic villain The High Evolutionary, and immortal (soul stone wielding) The Gardener among possible roles. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban. But it sounds like if he was only on set for a handful of days it will be a special cameo role. The possibilities are almost endless, and there’s also plenty of good guys left in the Thor stable for Neill to portray. Previous roles that could easily convince producers to cast Neill in a villainous part include the Doctor William Weir (Neill, apparently, has an affinity for doctor parts) in Event Horizon and even, to a lesser extent, vampire Charles Bromley in Daybreakers.

Just when you thought the casting for Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” couldn’t get any better, “Jurassic Park” legend Sam Neill has only gone and confirmed his involvement.
Neill revealed the news during an interview with ShortList support of his latest film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
In an interview promoting the United Kingdom release of Wilderpeople, Neill let news of his involvement in the Marvel film slip.
“Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi teased that the hilarious clip is more than just for fun.
Marvel Studios uses the phase system to separate their story arcs, usually culminating a phase with an Avengers film.

We will potentially have to wait until October 27 2017 to find out – as that is when Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas.
