The Sun newspaper said it had been contacted by someone using a pseudonym seeking to sell the images for $70,000.

News reports that Pippa Middleton’s iCloud account was hacked and had her photos stolen and put up for sale.

They include pictures of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, William and Kate’s children.

The Sun said it had been asked for £50,000 (58,000 euros, $65,000) for the shots.

The man was arrested in central England on suspicion of violating the Computer Misuse Act, notes CNN.

The paper said the images on offer included some of the royal children as well as wedding dresses and parties, with the seller wanting to sell in the U.S. because of United Kingdom privacy laws.

Metropolitan Police officers took a 35-year-old male into custody on Saturday after Pippa’s Apple iCloud account, counting more than 3,000 private photos, was compromised.

“I would cosider (sic) these highly highly sought”, the seller wrote to the Sun. “The investigation continues”, said the British police.

Middleton announced her engagement to Matthews in July.

She was a bridesmaid at the royal couple’s wedding at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 and garnered her own headlines with an eye-catching gown.

Experts are now warning senior royals and wealthy socialites in Pippa’s elite circle are also at risk of being hacked.
