Clinton team hopes ‘birther’ flap will motivate black voters
For all of those who may not be up to date on Bill Clinton’s past sexual deviances, Gennifer Flowers rose to some sort of twisted fame when she came forward during Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, claiming she was involved in a 12-year relationship with the married man.

Clinton’s aides, meanwhile, anxious publicly that Trump, a wealthy TV star and real-estate developer making his first bid for public office, would be held to a lower standard on the debate stage than Clinton, a former secretary of State who has spent decades in public life. “I can’t believe how easily baited the Clinton campaign was”, Conway said on CNN.
Monday night’s presidential debate could be the most-viewed in USA history.
The new poll shows that among likely voters in a four way race, 46% of voters favor Clinton, 44% prefer Trump while third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein saw a collapse in their support levels making up only 6% of the vote share while another 4% of voters remain undecided. In fact, the consensus among political scientists seems to be these debates have little effect at all on elections. “A one-liner that sticks, a gaffe, something that they do that’s provocative”.
The debate, which will be moderated by NBC news anchor Lester Holt, will also be streamed live on Facebook and Twitter.
Bill Clinton had an infamous affair with Flowers during his tenure as Arkansas governor that he later admitted under oath.
By all accounts, Clinton has spent weeks preparing for Monday night, including participating in mock debates in recent days. As of Sunday morning, Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight said Clinton had a 58 percent chance of winning the presidency and the Real Clear Politics poll average had Clinton ahead by 2.5 percentage points.
The controversy was sparked when celebrity-businessman Mark Cuban, who has repeatedly criticized Trump, announced that he would be attending the first presidential debate via an invitation from the Hillary Clinton campaign. Cuban and Trump spar often. Conway said Trump raised the specter of Flowers’ attendance to “remind people that he’s a great counter-puncher”.
She tweeted: “Hi Donald”.
