Snapchat Is Now Selling Sunglasses With A Camera!
Snapchat is no longer Snapchat!

This extremely attractive app has been reportedly renamed to Snap Inc to the lineup with its present and future projects. Since their only goal is to capture short videos, Snap’s Spectacles will only cost about $130.
Now, I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around Snapchat (as it were), so these Spectacles certainly are head scratchers…
Just hours before the announcement became public, Business Insider published leaked video of what appears to be a commercial for Spectacles, which you can see here.
In addition, the company unveiled its first wearable product, Spectacles. The glasses can record 10-second videos when a button on the side is pressed.
The new Spectacles do resemble Google Glasses in some way, as they come with built-in cameras and have the possibility to record videos.
The glasses will be offered in three different colors and, according to the Wall Street Journal, will be available later this fall for about $130.
Spectacles will be marketed in all sizes and will come in black, teal or coral colours.
Spiegel had recently christened his firm Snap Inc to reflect bigger ambitions that are beyond just the Snapchat application.

The Spectacles seem to be limited only to videos right now, and it’s odd that you cannot take photos and snap them to your contacts, but we think this is because a video can express a lot more than a photo. Spiegel describes his experience with the glasses to the WSJ. Hard core SnapChat users will be all over this gadget that lets them upload to Snapchat without holding their smartphone. “‘When I got the footage back and watched it, I could see my own memory, through my own eyes – it was unbelievable”, Spiegel told the Journal, recalling a hike he took wearing the prototype. Spectacles at least look a bit more like traditional sunglasses, save for the large camera module, and they’re also a lot cheaper than Google’s $1,500 Glass.
