“For me when someone says this [Leicester] is the biggest achievement in my career I say “Yes” because never have I won a [top-flight] title”, Ranieri explained.
Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he gave up at half time of his team’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester United.
“Because, OK, if we lose we can lose, but it’s important to maintain our mentality, our shape because that’s our strength”.
Their Italian manager, who has to rebuild confidence in time for their first ever Champions League tie at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, said: ‘It is very odd. I can understand that they score with headers, that they are very tall, but to score a smart goal from a corner is not possible. If it is nothing serious, he will come and play.
The Portuguese called Ranieri “a loser” when he replaced him at Chelsea during his first stint in England, and their relationship deteriorated further when they were both managing in Serie A. He’s a great manager and a fantastic person.
“He is picking me week in week out so I obviously thank him for that”. We put them under pressure and we pressed very well.

“I was picked up by United’s youth scouts who had seen me playing locally on Saturdays and Sundays at Deans FC, the same club where Ryan Giggs was”. “I’ll always be a Red deep down”.
