“I will work for that”. She said that the situation in Kashmir had turned from bad to worse since the BJP led NDA government came to power at the centre.

“Targeting Pakistan, Narendra Modi said “There is a country in Asia which is conspiring that there is bloodbath across Asia, so that the whole Asia comes in the grip of terrorism and innocents are killed”, the Prime Minister said, without directly taking the name of Pakistan”. He once again talked about Balochistan which Pakistan occupies but can’t take care of, as well as referenced East Pakistan and how Bangladesh came into being.

Recalling the sacrifices of the 18 soldiers, who were killed in the Uri terror attack, Prime Minister Modi said India is very proud of the armed forces. “India and Pakistan are both agreed that Jammu and Kashmir is a dispute that we need to resolve, you have your discourse and we have our narrative, not talking Kashmir will take us nowhere, Kashmiris have to be allowed to decide what they want for themselves”, Basit said. Pakistan denies the charge. Where all other countries in Asia and around the world are looking forward to a brighter future and working towards to making the 21st century their own, only one stands adamant on staying affixed and holding on with its last tooth and nail to regression and that is Pakistan.

The exhibition was meant to promote bilateral trade between the two countries and bring buyers and sellers together on one platform, the Express Tribune reported. Suddenly the terrorist attack took the center stage and reports about the indigenous struggle of the Kashmir people disappeared from the worldwide media.

The angry speech was expected, with many of Modi’s supporters and members of his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party demanding that India hit back hard after the attack on the army base. “Modi ji should solve the Kashmir issue; no proper development is visible, the people are unemployed”, Congress leader Meem Afzal said while echoing the sentiments of former Utter Pradesh chief minister Mayawati.

“You can not brush Kashmir under the carpet, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have to be given the right to determine their future at some point”. When 1965 war (with Pakistan) broke out and Lal Bahadur Shastri was leading the country, similar was the feeling, anger in the country.

India has long accused Pakistan of backing militant groups in disputed Kashmir as well as of sending fighters to other parts of the country to carry out acts of violence.

Meem Afzal said that Modi ji, instead of giving suggestions to Pakistan should instead focus on what is happening in his country. Most people in the Indian-controlled portion favour independence or a merger with Pakistan.
