The Madison County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday sent out an endangered missing person alert stating that Katherine Derleth and her newborn son, Christopher Ray Derleth, were last seen Saturday evening in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Gibbons said the child abduction charge stems from a court order out of Bond County that prohibits Christopher Derleth from “concealing or detaining” Katherine Derleth from her residence.
They may be in a green-over-gray in color 1997 Mercury Villager minivan with IL license plates reading E833210.
The West Virginia Emergency Management Agency says the teen and her baby were abducted from Edwardsville sometime Sunday morning.
Her son Christopher has brown hair and dark eyes. The aggravated kidnapping charge carries a maximum 30-year sentence, while the child abduction charge carries a maximum of three years in prison. A felony warrant for Kidnapping was issued for the abductor, Christopher Derleth, on September 19, 2016.
Issuance of charges against the stepfather came when Derleth was also noted missing at the same time as Katherine Derleth.
Katherine Derleth is described as 4 feet 8 inches tall, 95 pounds, with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes. “He is 6’1” and weighs 160 pounds.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate a missing.
If you see the teen, her baby, or her stepfather, or if you know where they are, call 911.

Christopher M. Derleth is an avid camper and may have stopped at a rural campground, authorities said.
