Brodman, who allowed WKMG to film when he got a tattoo as a tribute to the Pulse victims, described the attack in an interview with the station. The inspiration for the artistic mural is the Orlando United Assistance Center Coloring Book.

With the gray skies looming over the black building surrounded by the black fencing, Orlando resident Wilson Ortiz can’t help but feel the darkness outside of Pulse when visiting the nightclub for the first time on Tuesday. “I don’t know how I’m going to go on without him”, he wrote.

Brodman’s boyfriend said on Facebook that he is collecting funds for funeral expenses. ‘I said, “Run. Just run, run, run”.

Several art pieces, including the prominent 49 doves mural on busy Colonial Drive and Mills Avenue, will be displayed on the fence surrounding Pulse.

“We were out there when the shots started to be fired”, Brodman said. Non-perishable items are being catalogued and photographed, flowers will be organically turned into soil for use in gardens throughout the city and candles will be collected and stored.

Police reports were also made public on the city’s website. “I just think that these colors of Pulse, the black the white and gray, it doesn’t represent what these people’s hearts were filled with, which was love and color and vibrancy”. “I think it’s a very important piece of our city”, Page said.
